Freshman Year 2009-2010

  • Competed in nine meets of the season for the Cougars
  • Took first in the 200 IM in a meet against UNLV as well as the 1000 free in a meet against Seattle University
  • Took first in the 400 IM (3:53.51) and finished eighth in the 200 IM (1:52.39) at the Swimming and Diving Championships
  • Ranked first for the team in the 400 IM with a time of 3:53.51 that earns him the spot as fourth all-time in BYU history
  • Ranked second for the Cougars in the 1000 free with a time of 10:00.32
  • Ranked fourth for the team in the 200 breast as well as fifth in both 200 fly and 100 breast
  • Also ranked sixth in the 200 free for BYU
  • Received the MWC Academic All-Conference award
  • Ranked first in the conference overall for the 400 IM with a time of 3:53.51

  • 1 of 8 swimmers to compete in U.S. Olympic Trials, but was disqualified in the preliminaries in the 400 IM in Omaha, Nebraska
  • Recorded a first-place finish in the 200 IM (1:52.28) at the Mesa State Invite
  • Set new BYU record in the 200 fly (1:45.91) at the Texas Invite
  • Recorded a first-place finish in the 400 IM (4:01.63) against Arizona State
