Before BYU
Lettered two times at Pleasant Grove High School (2003 and 2004) and once at American Fork High School (2006)...place first in region two different times for the 100 breaststroke and once for the 200 freestyle and 200 IM...took second in state for the 100 breaststroke (2003, 2004, and 2006)...placed second in state for the 200 freestyle in 2004 and third for the 200 IM in 2006.
Swam season-best times in the 100 breast (1:09.72) and 200 breast (2:29.30) against Utah ... had a season-high time and placed fifth in the 200 IM (2:15.03) against Air Force ... part of the 200 medley relay squad at the Speedo Cup (1:56.11) that placed 32nd ... placed 48th in the 400 IM (4:49.80) at the Speedo Cup ... competed against Utah, Wyoming, Air Force and at the Speedo Cup.
