PROVO, Utah – Nine individuals and one relay team will compete for BYU at the NCAA Division I Track and Field Championships in Eugene, Oregon, beginning Wednesday, June 8, and finishing Saturday, June 11.

After strong performances from the Cougars in the West Prelims in Lawrence, Kansas, two weeks ago, BYU is the only men’s program to have an entry in every mid-distance/distance event contested at the championships.

Junior sprinter Shaquille Walker will compete in the men's 800m semifinal after placing first in his heat and second overall in Kansas. He enters the pool of 24 with the second-best 800m time in the nation with a mark of 1:44.99. Senior Jesse White will compete in the men's 400m semifinal, and both Walker and White will compete for the Cougars in the men's 4x400m relay, along with Mark Carlson and Tyrell Yardley.

Men’s distance runners Chase Horrocks, Aaron Fletcher, Connor McMillan and Rory Linkletter will represent BYU in the 1500m, 3000m steeplechase, 10,000m and 5000m events, respectively. Junior Jackson Walker will compete in the decathlon, and having not gone through the preliminary stage in Kansas, he finished the season and enters the championships with a national ranking of No. 20.

Women’s sprinter Shea Collinsworth will compete in the 800m semifinal on Thursday, coming into the competition with the third-best time in the nation.

Senior Zach Blackham will compete on Friday in the men’s high jump after clearing a mark of 2.16m and placing seventh at the preliminaries.

Competition begins Wednesday, with the opening events starting at 12:30 p.m. PDT at Hayward Field in Eugene. Each event will be broadcast on ESPN networks, and additional coverage and information can also be found here at NCAA.com. See below for a complete network coverage schedule.
