Responsibilities 

Coaches the throws for the men's and women's track and field teams. 

Education 

Graduated from Bringham Young University in 2008 with a Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science with an emphasis in Fitness and Wellness Management. Completed a Masters in Exercise Sciences in 2014. 

Years at BYU

Competed on the BYU men's track and feild team from 2003-08, then worked as a manager for the BYU track and field team from 2008-11 before accepting the assistant coaching position with the women's track and field team in 2011. 

Prior to BYU

In addition to the experience gained at BYU, Arrhenius also worked as a voluntary assistant coach for the Utah Valley University track and field. At UVU, Arrhenius assisted in coaching the throws for both the men's and women's team, and also assisted with the strength and conditioning of all the track and field athletes. He also coached two Great West Conference champions. 

Track and Field Career

Competed on the BYU men's track and field team from 2003-08. Arrhenius was the team captain from 2004-07 and was a four-time Mountain West Conference champion in the discus (2004-07), a two-time MWC champion in the shot put (2004-05), and won the NCAA championship in the discus in 2007. He also earned All-American honors three times for his performance in the discus and once in the shot put. Arrhenius also competed at the 2011 World Championships, 2010 European Championships, 2009 World Championships, 2008 Olympic Games, 2007 World Championships, 2006 European Championships and the 2000 World Junior Championships. 

Mission

Served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Sweden from 2001-03. Arrhenius is fluent in the Swedish language.
