Track Coaching Honors

  • Coached nine All-Americans at BYU, including 2006 Junior National and World Champion Chris Carter in the 400 hurdles
  • His athletes finished first through fifth in the 400 hurdles at the 2005 MWC Championships
  • Coached five of the all-time top 10 hurdlers at BYU
  • Coached All-American Jennifer Rockwell Grossarth to three U.S. Olympic Trials and an appearence at the 2013 World Track and Field Championships, as well as multiple appearances at the National Track and Field Championships
  • Men's and women's relays have broken four school records, including the men's 4x4 breaking a 40+ year-old school record en route to placing 5th at the NCAA Championships

Running Career

  • Western Athletic Conference Champion in 400 hurdles in 1999, and Mountain West Conference Champion in 2000
  • Competed in the 2000 Olympic Trials
  • Took seventh at the 2002 U.S. Track & Field Championships in the 400 hurdles
  • Mountain West Conference indoor high point award winner (2000)
