Seljaas to play at BYU in 2017-18
PROVO, Utah – BYU coach Dave Rose announced today that 6-foot-7 guard Zac Seljaas will be back with the Cougars for the 2017-18 season.
Seljaas, who returned from his LDS mission to Iowa earlier this month, is currently rehabbing his right shoulder. He will re-enroll at BYU in June and begin working out with the team. Seljaas will be a sophomore in 2017-18.
As a freshman in 2015-16, Seljaas averaged 7.6 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.2 assists. He shot 49.4 percent from the field and 50.0 percent from 3-point range, a single season record for BYU freshmen. Seljaas hit 68 3s in 2015-16, the third most by a Cougar freshman behind teammates Nick Emery (97 in 2015-16) and TJ Haws (76 in 2016-17).
