Brewster Academy

  • Helped Brewster Academy (Wolfeboro, N.H.) set a school record with 31 wins while compiling a 31-4 overall record in 2007-08
  • Team won the New England Preparatory School Athletic Conference (NEPSAC) Class A Championship and advanced to the National Prep School Championship Final Four where Abouo scored 19 points in a semifinal loss
  • Team also won the Maine Central Institute Invitational, Brewster Invitational and New Hampton School Invitational titles
  • Defeated the China Junior All-Star Team, 111-47

Logan High School

  • 2007 McDonalds High School All-America nominee
  • Three-time first-team all-state honoree under head coach Jeff Brimhall
  • LHS all-time leading scorer while also owning the school free throw record
  • Helped LHS win Region 11 titles in each of his three varsity seasons while earning all-region accolades all three years, including Region MVP in 2007
  • Named the 3A Player of the Year by the Deseret Morning News in 2007 after averaging 21.1 points, 10.2 rebounds and 3.2 steals per game

  • Posted season highs of 22 points, 16 rebounds, 7 assists, 3 steals and 2 blocks
  • Was 8th in the WCC in rebounding, 12th in assists, 14th in free throw percentage, 9th in 3-point FG percentage, 12th in steals, 11th in offensive rebounds and 9th in defensive rebounds
  • Started every game, scored in double figures 20 times and averaged 11.0 points, 6.2 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.1 steals
