PROVO -- Two national champions and three All-American athletes from the BYU women’s track and field team will be honored Tuesday afternoon at the Hinckley Center Assembly Hall at BYU for their performance at the NCAA Indoor National Championships.

“It’s really a privilege for us to be honored,” said All-American and national champion Amy Menlove. “I highly respect BYU as a school and it’s exciting to represent the school you love. The fact that it’s taking the time to recognize our achievements is very special and we all are very grateful.”

Those athletes receiving recognition include true freshman 800-meter national champion Lacey Cramer, pentathlon national champion Amy Menlove, sophomore standout Katie Palmer, Angela Wagner and Nachelle Stewart.

The distance medley relay team made up of Cramer, Palmer, Stewart and Wagner and placed third shattering the previous school and conference record set this season. Palmer also went on to place fourth in the 800-meter.

The event will begin at 12:30 p.m. MT and will last until 1:30 p.m. It is for the athletes, their parents and BYU administration.
