BYU Track Heads to NCAA West Regionals

PROVO, Utah—The BYU men’s and women’s track and field teams will compete at the NCAA West preliminary round this weekend in Austin, Texas, for bids to the NCAA outdoor championships.

Austin and Jacksonville, Fla., are hosting the two regionals this weekend. To qualify for the national meet in Des Moines, Iowa, athletes and relay teams need to finish in the top 12 in their events.

The Cougars will send 16 women and 27 men to Austin to compete against some of the best competiton in the nation.

The meet begins today, with the first round of the men’s 400m hurdles, and continues through Saturday. A full schedule of events can be found at TexasSports.com. Live results are also available at TexasSports.com.
