Quotes from Rywelska:
"I am glad that I got sixth place but I was thinking too much in my race. I am so glad that I am sixth in the United States. It was kind of a strange runway, very bouncy, and I couldn't really find my distance. Yesterday I was scared but now I am happy. There is just such great competition here. The outdoor season will be so much better."
Quote from Coach Poole on Rywelska:
"She was nervous but she came in eighth and went out sixth and for her first time competing in a year, she did great. This was a good learning experience for her, and she now knows how the runways are. She will now know how to handle it."

Quotes from Metcalf:
"I did a good job today. I wish that I could have cleared six feet but ultimately it wouldn't have moved me up any. My knee has been bothering and so I was wondering how it would be coming in today. I am happy with fifth place. This is the best nationals I have been to. I know I can go higher and so I am excited for the outdoor season. I know I can go higher when I really am fresh and good and plan to do so in outdoors."

We can't compete in all three season [cross country, indoor and outdoor track] and do well in all three. We will do well in cross country and the outdoor season. It really was their best effort."

"It was a hard race. The first five laps flew by, but then I was just counting down the laps. I have been sick and really all I could do was finish."
