Harrison to transfer

PROVO, Utah – BYU head coach Dave Rose has announced that sophomore guard Damarcus Harrison has decided to transfer to Clemson for the 2012-13 season.

A native of Greenwood, S.C., Harrison played 30 games for the Cougars in 2011-12 and averaged 3.2 points, 1.0 rebounds and 8.8 minutes per game. He had his best game in BYU’s 25-point 78-72 comeback win against Iona in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament when he scored a career-high 12 points on 4 of 6 shooting.

"We appreciate the hard work and dedication Damarcus gave to our program this past season," Rose said. "Damarcus is a great young man from a wonderful family. We wish them the very best with this new opportunity."
