Sacramento Kings guard and BYU legend Jimmer Fredette will make an appearance at Relay for Life in Provo on Saturday at 8 a.m. MT. Relay for Life is being held at the Provo High School track from Friday at 6 p.m. to Saturday at 10 a.m.

Fredette, the 2011 National Player of the Year and BYU's all-time leading scorer, will be available for autographs and photos in an effort to help raise funds for Relay for Life. Fans can pay $10 for an autographed photo, $5 to have an item signed that they provide and $10 to have their photo taken with Fredette. One hundred percent of all proceeds will but used by the American Cancer Society to support cancer research and cancer patients.

The BYU basketball coaches have a team in Relay for Life to help raise funds for the American Cancer Society. In addition to helping raise awareness and funds for cancer research, the team is participating in honor of Emily Austin, who recently passed away at the age of 19 after a lifelong battle with leukemia. Dave Rose and his wife Cheryl met Emily when she was five-years old through the Children with Cancer Christmas Foundation and she had been a friend of the program ever since.
