Hartsock, Davies earn NABC All-District Honors

KANSAS CITY -- The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) has named BYU’s senior forward Noah Hartsock and junior forward Brandon Davies to its All-District 9 team. Hartsock earned First Team honors while Davies received Second Team accolades.

Together, BYU's frontcourt tandem have led BYU to a 26-8 record, a berth in the NCAA Tournament for a school-record sixth season and are the Cougars top two scorers.

Hartsock averages 16.9 points per game, 5.2 rebounds and 1.6 blocked shots per game. The Bartlesville, Okla. native earned All-West Coast Conference honors and is currently third in career blocked shots at BYU with 176, just one behind Shawn Bradley. He has scored in double figures in all but four games this season and is No. 18 nationally in field goal percentage at 57.1 percent.

Davies, also an All-WCC honoree, led the the conference in scoring (18.0 ppg) and was fourth in rebounding (8.1 rpg). The 6-foot-9 post player has picked up eight double-doubles this year, including the Cougars' first 20-20 game since the 1974-75 season with 21 points and 22 boards at San Diego. He is BYU's second leading scorer on the season behind Hartsock at 15.1 points per game and leading rebounder, grabbing up 7.6 boards per game.

Selected and voted on by member coaches of the NABC, these student-athletes represent the finest basketball players across America. The 240 student-athletes, from 24 districts, are eligible for the NABC Coaches’ Division I All-America teams, to be announced on Tuesday, March 20.
