Cougars Open Greece Tour with Win
BYU men’s basketball opened its tour of Greece with an 88-56 win over the Athens All-Stars on Wednesday. The Athens All-Stars included members of various Greek club teams.
In a hard-played, physical contest, the Cougars jumped out to an early 20-9 advantage and held the lead the rest of the way. BYU shot 7-of-18 from three and out-rebounded the All-Stars 39-29.
Senior Charles Abouo led the way for the Cougars with 20 points and six boards. Freshman Damarcus Harrison and senior Noah Hartsock also scored in double figures with 15 and 12 points, respectively. Harrison also added a team-high four steals for BYU.
The Cougars return to action on Friday. The opponent is TBA.
