Brandon Davies on Basketball
Where would you be without basketball?
I’d probably be in trouble somewhere or maybe even playing a different sport, maybe soccer or maybe a professional skateboarder. I skateboarded all growing up.
Why basketball?
I wasn’t really into it until middle school. I guess just playing with my friends and finally making the team was the moment I knew that’s what I wanted to be playing.
What is your favorite sound in basketball?
The roar of the crowd, when the crowd goes crazy. It just pumps you up and keeps you going. It gets that adrenaline going. Knowing that you have people behind you makes everything in the moment.
Best family basketball memory?
They try to make it to every home game. It’s nice to see them. I always look for them in the crowd. It just helps me to know that they’re here supporting me. It helps me get ready for the game.
Any advice for young players?
Push yourself. Don’t give up on yourself. It’s a grind whether you’re good now or not good now, you’ve just got to stick it out.
