Postgame Quotes

BYU Head Coach Dave Rose

“I was really pleased with this game. I was really impressed with Trinity Western. They came out physical and strong. They were well coached, and made us work on every possession offensively and defensively. That’s what you want out of an exhibition game.”

“We need to guard a little bit better. We missed a lot of easy shots early on, but I think that had a lot to do with the nerves and excitement of the first game. We settled down and did a pretty good job offensively.”

“I want this team to develop its own personality. Jonathan and Jimmer will be a big part of that offensively and we hope other guys will become a big part of the offense as well. We need to be able to start more quickly but I was pleased with how we recovered.”

Trinity Western Head Coach Scott Allen

“It was a good learning experience for us. I think we learned that if we look after the ball and take advantage of second-chance shots we can be successful. It was a great opportunity for us to play a quality team like BYU.”
