Collin Chandler Signs with BYU
PROVO, Utah – BYU men’s basketball head coach Mark Pope has announced the signing of Collin Chandler to a National Letter of Intent.
Chandler signs with the Cougars out of Farmington High School where is he ranked No. 28 in the ESPN 100 for the 2022 class. He becomes the highest-ranked recruit to sign with BYU since Pope was named the head coach in April of 2019.
“I felt the experience of head coach Mark Pope and the entire coaching staff would help me learn and grow a lot. They have so much knowledge,” said Chandler to ESPN.com. “With me being a hometown guy and them being a hometown school, it was special. Growing up here, I want to help take the program to the next step and help make it more a national brand of basketball.”
The 6-foot-4 guard earned Deseret News 5A First Team honors as a junior in 2020-21 after averaging 22.3 points, 4.6 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game and leading Farmington to the state 5A championship game. He also scored 485 points with 105 rebounds and 91 assists as a sophomore.
