When did you start playing basketball? I started when I was three. My parents got me started early. I have a brother that is 15 years older than me and he wanted me to play. Ever since I could run, I’ve been playing.
Who are your role models? My family. My dad and my brother. They’re great examples of hard work and perseverance. As far as sports, I look up to LeBron James. Not only what he does on the basketball court, but what he does off the court being involved in the community.
What are your pregame rituals? It’s really more of a pregame meal. It started in high school when I would stop at 7/11 to grab a protein bar and two Gatorades. That has been my go to thing ever since then.
What is your favorite sport besides basketball? I played baseball. I was a pitcher. I like basketball because it is a lot faster pace.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go? Tahiti or Fiji. I’m from Southern California. I love the beach and I surf. I started my basketball career at BYU-Hawaii. I love the ocean.
What is something unique about you? I’m a pretty good golfer. I grew up playing golf too – my dad’s a big golfer. I grew up going golfing with him on the weekend. I’m an exceptional whistler, or so I’ve been told. One of my friend’s dads taught me when I was growing up.
What do you do when you’re not playing basketball? Studying, hanging out with friends/girlfriend and being outside. I love going on drives up the canyon.
What is your favorite movie? Avengers Infinity War
What is your favorite TV show? The Office
Who is your favorite musician? Drake
What is your favorite food? Lasagna
What do you want to do when you’re done with basketball? I want to be a doctor. I hopefully end up being a surgeon – I’m thinking cardiothoracic surgery.
