PROVO, Utah – BYU will introduce a variety of upgrades and changes to the Marriott Center for the 2018-19 basketball season beginning with the Cougar Tipoff on Friday, Oct 19.

Wi-Fi
The university has just completed installation of a state-of-the-art Wi-Fi system that will provide Cougar fans the ultimate large-arena mobile connectivity experience. The new Wi-Fi system is the result of a generous contribution by the J. Willard and Alice S. Marriott Foundation in the name of the late President Thomas S. Monson, a master communicator.

Game Day App
BYU will introduce a new game-day mobile app for the 2018-19 men’s basketball season at the UCCU Crosstown Class vs Utah Valley University on Friday, Nov. 9. Built on the same platform as the BYU football app, the BYU Gameday basketball app provides fans in the arena a second-screen experience that includes on-demand video highlights, real-time statistics, social media components, the live radio broadcast, merchandise and more.

The new BYU Gameday app is now available for free download on both Apple and Android phones. If fans have already downloaded the football app, the basketball app is a simple update to the existing app. Both apps were developed by Pesci Sports exclusively for BYU.

Season and Single-Game Tickets
Limited lower-bowl SEASON tickets are still available for the 2018-19 men’s basketball season. Above concourse season tickets start at just $60. Click HERE for pricing and availability. SINGLE-GAME tickets are now available for the first two games versus St. Martin's and Westminster. The rest of the single-game tickets will go on sale October 23. MINI-PACK tickets are also on sale now with five different options to choose from.

Clear Bag Policy
Similar to football, BYU has adopted a new clear bag policy for all home men’s basketball games. This will include the following changes: Approved bags must be made of clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and should not exceed 12 x 6 x 12 inches. Small clutch bags, approximately the size of a hand, with or without a handle or strap, can be carried separately or within an approved clear plastic bag into the arena. Bags that are prohibited include backpacks, cinch bags, diaper bags, fanny packs, purses and tote bags. An exception will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection at any entrance. For more details click on the BYU clear bag infographic.
