Second-to-last week of conference play begins at Pepperdine

BYU Game Notes

BYU basketball plays its first of two road games this week at Pepperdine on Thursday at 7 p.m. PST in Firestone Fieldhouse.

Thursday's game will be televised live on BYUtv. The game with also be broadcast live on the BYU Sports Network on BYU Radio – Sirius XM 143 and KSL Newsradio 102.7 FM/1160 AM.

BYU Storylines

  • With BYU’s 75-73 overtime win against San Francisco, the Cougars reached 20 wins for the 13th-straight season, all under Coach Dave Rose. Rose’s streak of 13-straight seasons with 20 wins is tied for sixth all-time in NCAA history and is the fifth-longest streak among active head coaches.
  • BYU trailed San Francisco 61-54 with less than one minute remaining and 63-57 with 39 seconds to go. The Cougars scored eight points in the final 21 seconds, including a game-tying 3-pointer by Elijah Bryant, to force overtime. In overtime, TJ Haws scored BYU’s final eight points, including a layup that tied the game at 73-all with 40 seconds to go, and the game-winning free throws with four seconds left in overtime.
  • Haws finished the San Francisco game with a season-high 26 points and seven assists.
