Quotes

BYU head coach Dave Rose

“I thought that our guys were really good in the first half. I thought we got our hands on a lot of balls, which led to some breakouts for us. Then Chase was terrific. Our guys were really good at finding him.”

"We have been through a lot of experiences when teammates have missed games. Our guys are used to stepping up. We played for each other and for guys who could not play tonight."

"We understand the challenge that is before us tomorrow. Our guys are ready and excited for the opportunity. They have the confidence and will have to play well and do things like we did tonight and trust each other to beat them (Gonzaga)."

Kyle Collinsworth

On the free throw to get the triple-double:

“Everybody was yelling, all the BYU fans were yelling while I was shooting it, so it was good. I’m glad it went in. All the credit goes to my teammates. We have a lot of shooters and Chase made a ton of 3s. Our teammates and our pace, it makes it easy to get a triple-double.”

"Looking back to  year ago, I remember sitting on the couch raising my leg up. Now I am just taking things day by day and everything is slowly coming back. At the end of the day, I am grateful I can play again."

Chase Fischer

"Even when we are not hitting shots we are confident that we can beat anyone. This group is special because we have been through all of the ups and downs of college basketball. The chemistry and closeness of the group makes our confidence go up a lot."

"Kyle (Collinsworth) works hard every single day and is very dedicated to what he does. He is a special person and it is not out of the ordinary to see this (NCAA triple-double record) happen."
