Haws named to Wooden Award Late Season Top 20

PROVO, Utah – BYU senior guard Tyler Haws has been named to the Wooden Award Late Season Top 20, announced today on ESPN.com.

Haws is currently second in the nation in scoring at 22.5 points per game and is 70 points from passing 2011 Wooden Award winner Jimmer Fredette as BYU’s all-time leading scorer. The Alpine, Utah, native has scored 20-plus points 19 times this season, including a current streak of 10-straight games.

In addition to chasing Fredette for the scoring title, Haws’ named can be found throughout the BYU record book. He holds the career records for free throw percentage (88.7), free throws made (685), games started (128) and 20-point games (69), has the second-most double-figure scoring games (113) and minutes played (4,140) and is top 15 in 3-point field goals and steals.

Along with his inclusion on the Wooden Award Late Season Top 20, Haws is also a candidate for the Senior CLASS Award and the Naismith Trophy.
