PROVO, Utah – With the 2014-15 season right around the corner, that means it’s time for preseason magazines and online conference previews. See below to find out where BYU is picked to finish in the West Coast Conference and what preseason honors the Cougars received.
Lindy’s Sports College Basketball Preview
- Senior guard Tyler Haws ranked No. 1 in the nation among shooting guards
- Junior guard Kyle Collinsworth ranked No. 20 in the nation among small forwards (even though he plays the point)
- BYU picked to finish second in the WCC
- Tyler Haws named the preseason player of the year and to the five-man All-WCC first-team
- Kyle Collinsworth named to the five-man All-WCC second-team
- Nov. 2013 signees and current missionaries TJ Haws (40) and Payton Dastrup (68) both ranked among the top 100 from the class of 2014
