Free Football Scrimmage Sponsored by Orbit Irrigation
PROVO, Utah -- The BYU football team will conduct a public spring scrimmage sponsored by Orbit Irrigation, Inc., on Saturday, March 24, at noon in LaVell Edwards Stadium.
The event is free and the first 4,000 fans in attendance will receive a limited edition 5x11 2012 schedule card featuring players on the team. Gates open at 11 a.m.
The team will conclude spring drills on Friday, March 30, the day before the beginning of the 182nd Annual General Conference for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The 2012 spring scrimmage takes place at the end of the team’s third week of practices so it can be conducted on the weekend to better accommodate fans wishing to attend.
After spring concludes, BYU will start fall camp in August as the team continues its preparations for the 2012 season. The Cougars open the 2012 season at home against Washington State on Sept. 1. For season ticket information go to BYUtickets.com.
