Practice, service and activities on Day 2 of bowl week
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The BYU football team spent its second day at the New Mexico bowl practicing, participating in service and concluding with another joint team activity in the evening.
After team and position meetings in the morning, BYU held a full practice at the University of New Mexico's indoor practice facility in the early afternoon in prep for Saturday's game. Head coach Kalani Sitake and players also participated in a media availability session prior to heading out to the practice field.
Following the practice, several members of the team attended a charity event at a local school and children's hospital to spread some holiday cheer. BYU's players were also joined by some of their counterparts from SMU.
Later in the evening, both teams attended a dinner together at the Albuquerque Convention Center before competing in a Family Feud style game. Coaches and players on both sides took part in the activity.
BYU returned to the hotel for another evening of relaxing with teammates and family in the hospitality suite before tomorrow's schedule, which includes the New Mexico Bowl press conference, a team walk-through, kickoff luncheon and pep rally.
