Cougars complete first full day in Hawai'i
The BYU football team completed its first full day in Honolulu on Saturday in advance of the 2019 SoFi Hawai'i Bowl.
The day featured a mix of practice and meetings with team and cultural festivities hosted by the bowl. The Cougars prepared for the game with meetings and a full practice session throughout the morning and into the early afternoon. BYU’s practice was conducted through consistent rain and wind at a local high school as a storm currently blows through the Islands.
The afternoon allowed the team to get wet in a different way when BYU’s players took their turn attending a local water park activity planned by the bowl committee. After returning and taking the team’s official bowl team photo, the Cougars then joined the Hawai'i Rainbow Warriors Saturday evening to enjoy some great food and celebrate the Polynesian cultures of the Pacific Islands. Both teams enjoyed a full evening at the SoFi Hawai’i Bowl Royal Hawaiian Lu’au hosted on the Royal Hawaiian Hotel Ocean Lawn overlooking the Pacific Ocean.

The Cougars will face the hometown Rainbow Warriors on Christmas eve this Tuesday in Aloha Stadium at 3 p.m. HST/6 p.m. MST on ESPN.
