Television plans announced for BYU at Boise State game
PROVO, Utah — The initial television broadcast plans for the BYU at Boise State football game have been released. ESPN and the Mountain West Conference announced Tuesday the game featuring the Cougars and Broncos on Saturday, Nov. 3 in Albertsons Stadium will be an ESPN Networks broadcast.
Game time and the specific ESPN channel for the BYU-BSU game as well as additional television plans for the 2018 season will be announced at a later date.
BYU and Boise State face off for the seventh straight season in 2018 and the ninth time overall in a growing regional rivalry. The Broncos are one of three matchups on BYU's 2018 schedule against top-25 teams and among eight games against bowl teams from this past season. Boise State finished last season ranked No. 22 in the final rankings with an 11-3 record.
Overall, BYU's 12-game schedule includes six home games and six road contests against schools from 11 different states and five conferences—Big Ten, Pac-12, Mountain West, Mid-American, Southland—as well as fellow independents New Mexico State and UMass. BYU opponents in 2018 earned a collective 90-63 (.589) record this past season.
