BYU Touchdown Club Preparing for 2016

Now in its sixth year, the BYU Touchdown Club is a great way for Cougar fans to celebrate BYU’s success on the field by making a donation for each touchdown BYU scores this season. One hundred percent of all Touchdown Club donations over the past five seasons have been used to provide football scholarships, primarily for former walk-on players who’ve earned their place on the team.

Perhaps more than any collegiate football team in the nation, BYU has attracted and cultivated great walk-on players—including student athletes who turn down scholarships elsewhere to play for the Cougars.  Former BYU walk-ons have made NFL rosters, claimed All-Pro honors, and won Super Bowl championships rings after leaving Provo.

With a minimum contribution of $1 per touchdown, BYU Touchdown Club Members choose their individual level of support for each touchdown scored. In 2015, Touchdown Club donations funded two full football scholarships through the support of hundreds of participants nationwide.

The Touchdown Club website simplifies the contribution process; donations are made automatically with a credit or debit card on the first business day after each game. Past participants are enrolled in the program for the 2016 season.

In partnership with the BYU Army ROTC, members of the Touchdown Club will be on the field each game firing the Cougar Battalion’s “George Q” Cannon throughout the season when the Cougars score.  Touchdown Club Members also receive a popcorn bucket that allows them to get $1 refills at BYU home games.
