Alani Fua to participate in NFL Scouting Combine this weekend

Fomer BYU outside linebacker Alani Fua is particpating in the 2015 NFL Combine this weekend.  Overall, more than 300 NFL prospects will participate in this year's NFL Scouting Combine, which is conducted in Indianapolis from Feb. 17-23.

As one of the invited participants, Fua has the opportunity to undergo the scrutiny of NFL executives, coaches, scouts and doctors from all 32 NFL teams during an intense schedule of physical and psychological tests, medical examinations and formal and informal interviews. Workout drills include the 40-yard dash, bench press, vertical jump, broad jump, 3-cone drill and shuttle run. Additional position-specific drills and interviews also take place as NFL teams assess top professional prospects in advance of the 2015 NFL Draft (April 30-May 2) and free agent signings in May. 

Fua is scheduled to do his on-field workouts on Sunday along with the linebackers and defensive linemen. The on-field workout schedule for the weekend until the conclusion of the Combine on Monday features specialists, offensive lineman and tight ends on Friday; quarterbacks, running backs and wide receivers on Saturday; linebackers and defensive linemen on Sunday; and defensive backs on Monday.
