Coin Changes To Dogtag
PROVO -- Instead of carrying a coin 24-7, BYU's baseball players have switched to wearing a dogtag or a T-shirt to reflect annual team goals.
In an effort to promote team unity, Cougar baseball players wear either a T-shirt of a dog tag. On one side of the dogtag it shows four sides of a baseball field, flanked by goals of Character, Effort, and Execution, with Exactness.
On the flipside of the dogtag it reads: Ambassadors of Good One Breath, One Team Through Brotherhood, with a Book of Mormon scripture from Alma 57: 21: "Yea, and they did obey and observe to perform every word of command with exactness; yea, and even according to their faith it was done unto them; and I did remember the words which they said unto me that their mothers had taught them."
