Colorado Springs, Colo. (March 21, 2000) -- BYU's Jeff Stone and New Mexico's Donny Sevieri are the McLeodUSA Mountain West Conference Baseball Pitcher and Player of the Week, respectively.

Stone, a sophomore from Taylorsville, Utah (Taylorsville HS), is the first left handed pitcher to claim conference pitcher of the week honors. In one appearance last week vs. Air Force, he worked eight innings from the mound and faced 29 batters. Stone allowed six hits and one earned run (1.13 ERA), while walking two and striking out six in the 9-1 Cougar victory.
