Born 2/24/76 in Honolulu, Hawai`i...parents are Joseph and Georgia...middle name means happy in the Hawai`ian language...is Hawai`ian, Chinese and Portuguese...married Celeste Loa in December, 1996...they have a daughter, Heaven...enjoys lifting weights and playing sports in his spare time...recruited by Hawai`i and Idaho St.,...majoring in sociology.
Before BYU
Graduated in 1994 from Kailua High...lettered four times in football and twice in track..honorable mention all-state and OIA White Division All-Star on both offensive and defensive line...participated in the 1993 All-Star game.

Hawaii: 1995 Started all 12 games at right tackle
Enrolled at BYU in September and lost a year of eligibility because of transferring within the WAC.
Started every game at offensive guard.
Started at right tackle for all 14 games...Honorable Mention All-WAC selection...voted outstanding lineman by the coaches for games against Arizona State, UNLV, San Diego State and New Mexico...participated in the 1999 Hula Bowl All-Star Game...drafted by the Miami Dolphins in the seventh round of the NFL Draft (244th overall).
