Before BYU

Prepped at Boulder High, where he lettered in football and track...was two-time All-Centennial League and all-county...played defensive back and quarterback before helping his team as a senior running back...rushed for 1,100 yards... coached by Dave Ramsey (Wisconsin).

BYU Hall of Fame

Freshman Year 1997

Had 51 yards rushing, including a 32-yard run in the spring game...had a 16-yard rush and a 20-yard catch at Arizona St.,...had an 18-yard TD catch vs. Tulsa...scored a two-yard TD vs. Utah St.

Sophmore Year 1998

Played in five games...rushed 15 times for a total of 84 yards...averaged 5.6 per rush.

Junior Year 1999

Participated in spring drills...played in five games...had 48 yards rushing on 15 carries...had a season high 30 yards on seven rushes against New Mexico...had 28 yards on five catches versus Wyoming en route to being named top offensive back by the coaches.

Senior Year 2000

Suffered a broken hand during spring drills. Played in 11 games for the Cougars...rushed three times for 19 yards, an average of 6.3 yards per rush and 1.7 yards a game...caught 13 passes for 98 yards, averaging 7.5 yards per catch and 8.9 yards a game...had a season-high three receptions for 24 yards against San Diego State...had a season-long 20-yard reception versus Mississippi State.
