Born in Mountain Home, Idaho...parents are Wes and Joyce...one of seven children (youngest of six boys)...three brothers played football at Boise State and two brothers played at Idaho State...prior to coming to BYU, spent the summer irrigating potatoes...favorite foods include potatoes...recruited by Oregon, Oregon State, Wyoming, Idaho and Boise State.

A four-year letterman in football and three-time letterman in track...named team MVP in 1997 and 98...named all-state and all-conference as both a linebacker and running back as a senior...an all-state running back as a junior and an all-state tight end as a sophomore...helped lead Glenn's Ferry High School to three straight conference titles...named to the honor roll and National Honor Society.
