Lettered three times in football and track at Boulder High...two-time all-league and all-county...all-state...Blue Chip All-American ...Blue Chip lists by both the Rocky Mountain News and Denver Post...one of 16 defensive backs selected to the Tacoma News-Tribune's Western 100 squad...selected as the number one player in the midwest among defensive backs...selected three times as the Dr. Pepper Player of the Week...as a senior he had 60 tackles (45 solo), with 21 pass deflections and two interceptions...played halfback on offense and rushed 74 times for 604 yards and six TDs, catching 16 passes for 340 yards and five TDs... returned two kicks for scores (one punt, one kickoff)...in the second half against Cherry Creek he rushed 17 times for 146 yards and three TDs...won the U.S. military academic excellence award...team was state champions in 1992 and won consecutive Centennial League titles...ran a 21.5 in the 200 meters and 49 flat in the 400...coached by Dave Ramsey (Wisconsin).
