Graduated on the honor roll from Weiser High School in 1999... a four-year letterwinner... led team to 30-13 record in four seasons, including a state championship in 1998... a three-time all-state performer at wide receiver, defensive back and kicker... named the A-2 Idaho State Player of the Year as a senior... named USA Today Idaho Player of the Year... earned Gatorade Circle of Champions Player of the Year honors as a senior... totaled 40 career interceptions... won the national punt, pass and kick competition... also lettered in basketball and baseball.

Sophmore Year 2001

Started 11-of-13 regular season games at safety and started in the Liberty Bowl against No. 22 Louisville... earned Honorable Mention All-MWC and media All-MWC honors... earned coaches player-of-the-game honors for his performances against Nevada, UNLV and San Diego State... recognized by the Cougar Club as a 2001 Academic Athlete Award winner... credited with 65 takedowns on the season, including 36 solo tackles... made three interceptions, five pass deflections and two fumble recoveries... credited with the game-saving pass deflection against Wyoming on the final play of the game... posted a season-high 12 tackles in the Cougars' 35-31 victory at UNLV... had a fumble recovery in back-to-back games at Cal and at UNLV.

Junior Year 2002

Saw limited action during spring drills after recovering from ankle surgery ... switched from safety to linebacker ... started in 7 games during the season ... credited with 22 tackles, including 13 solo takedowns on the season ... recorded two unassisted tackles, two pass deflections, a quarterback hurry and a game-winning interception against the Hawaii ... leading by a narrow 28-24 margin, intercepted a Timmy Chang pass with 4:40 remaining in the game, giving the Cougars' a first-and-10 at the Hawaii 22 yard line ... five plays later, Lance Pendleton scored the game-winning touchdown on a two-yard run ... produced a season-high 4 solo tackles at both Nevada and Air Force ... credited with a season-high 6 total tackles against the Falcons ... had a first-quarter interception against Utah State.
