In 2001: Competed in all 14 games for the Cougars, including starts against Tulane and Air Force... recorded 27 tackles on the season, including 20 unassisted takedowns... registered a season-high six tackles in his career debut (vs. Tulane), including four solo tackles... posted two interceptions on the season, including one at New Mexico and one at Hawaii... credited with four pass deflections.

Before BYU

An all-state and all-league selection as a senior ... helped lead Kahuku HS to a state championship as a senior ... earned a trip to the Hawaii All-Star game.
