  • Was the leading ground gainer on the 1971 frosh squad

Sophmore Year 1973

  • Carried the ball 45 times for 182 yards while appearing in seven games 
  • Averaging more than 4 yards per carry and scored two touchdowns
  • Proved difficult to tackle as a compact runner with good acceleration
  • Long run of the year was 20 yards in 63-0 win over UTEP
  • Achieved a season high of 63 yards and scored two TDs on only nine carries against UTEP to average 7.0 yards per carry
  • Had double digit carries in two games, with 17 for 44 yards against Arizona and 11 for 55 yards against Weber State, achieving long runs of 10 yards in both games
  • Added one pass receptions for 6 yards on the season
Junior Year 1974

  • Had the second-most carries on the team, second only to tailback Jeff Blanc
  • Had 93 carries for 286 yards and one touchdown while playing in eight games
  • Stood out in road games with some strong performances for the Cougars 
  • Ran for a season-high 87 yards in 12-10 win over Air Force on a season-high 30 carries at the Academy
  • Totaled 72 yards on only 13 carries in 33-33 tie game at Colorado State 
  • Added 69 yards on 22 carries in BYU's 37-13 win over Arizona in Tucson, including a season-long run of 15 yards
  • Had one reception on the year
  • Contributed to a strong fullback position that included Todd Christensen and Roger Gourley teaming with tailbacks Jeff Blanc and Dave Lowry
  • Helped Cougars earn first-ever bowl berth with invitation to play in the 1974 Fiesta Bowl
Senior Year 1975

  • Ran for 358 yards on 82 carries to average 4.37 yards per carry
  • Totaled the second-most rushing yards for the Cougars on the season behind all-conference tailback Jeff Blanc
  • Scored a career-best 5 touchdowns on the season, second on the team behind tailback Jeff Blanc's 11 scores
  • Topped 100 yards for the first time in his career with 111 yards on 17 caries and 1 touchdown in BYU's 51-20 win over Utah in Cougar Stadium
  • Averaged a season-best 6.53 yards per carry against Utah, including a long run of 24 yards
  • Averaged 6.38 yards per carry against Southern Mississippi to tally 51 yards on only 8 carries, boosted by a career-long gallop of 36 yards on the road in Jackson
  • Scored two touchdowns in a game twice, with multiple scores in a 28-14 home win over Air Force and a 20-10 road victory over UTEP
  • Added a career-best 3 receptions against UTEP for 28 yards, including a long catch of 15 yards
  • Contributed 69 yards on 18 carries in BYU's 24-7 win over Utah State in Logan
  • Helped Cougars achieve second-straight winning season and third in four years under new coach LaVell Edwards
