High School -  At Bellarmine College Prep in San Jose he won four letters as a quarterback ... won numerous honors ... set 10 school and league passing records, including most touchdown passes(24), best completion percentage (64%), most yards gained (1,600), most TD passes one game (5) ... coached by Walt Arnold (California).

Saw plenty of action behind Rod Wood at middle linebacker ... 74 defensive points  ... scored a safety against Kansas State ... best games were against CSU with four unassisted tackles ad five assisted tackles .. against Arizona he caused a fumble, had a pass deflection and had four tackles.
