Graduated from Castro Valley High in 1984...didn't play high school football...lettere in track, golf and soccer...was an all-league performed in track in the shot and discus...coached by Terry Cagannan (USU).
Other College
Attended Chabot College in Hayward, California...was named most outstanding lineman in the conference...first team All-Northern California and second team All-America.
Saw backup action...anchored the line for PATs...played some at center.
Had knee surgery halfway through spring practice but returned to block well for Ty Detmer in the spring game...redshirted.
