Parents are Kenny and Deena...served a mission to the Dominican Republic from 1987-89...recruited by Cal State-Fullerton and Long Beach State...majoring in economics with a minor in coaching.

Before BYU

Earned three letters in football and basketball and also lettered in baseball and track...all-conference two years in football and basketball...all-city in football and basketball senior year...Athlete of the Year at Bellflower High.

Freshman Year 1986

Starting tight end on the junior varsity team.

Sophmore Year 1990

Caught two passes for 31 yards against New Mexico...had two catches for 19 yards at Air Force.

Junior Year 1991

Had a broken thumb just prior to spring practices...first team All-WAC...started the last nine games of the season...had five catches for 103 yards against UTEP...had six receptions at Colorado State, five against UTEP and four versus Hawai'i...caught six passes for 71 yards against Iowa in the Holiday Bowl.
