Parents are Maurice and Mary...players call him "Mouse"...recruited by California, Hawai'i, Oregon and Oregon State...a social work major.

Before BYU

Attended St. Louis High in Honolulu...honor roll 1987 and 1988...all-state two years and Hawai'i Offensive Player of the Year 1988...won state 400 meters as a junior...also lettered in basketball and track...coached by Calvin Lee.

BYU Hall of Fame

Freshman Year 1989

One of few freshman to travel with varsity and letter...caught three passes against Wyoming, including a key 29-yard TD in the third quarter to put the game out of reach...was in the four-man rotation.

Sophmore Year 1990

ABC Player of the Game against Oregon...caught a 69-yard TD pass at Oregon...caught three passes for three touchdowns against New Mexico...had a 25-yard TD reception at Utah...caught a 53-yard TD pass against Utah State...caught five passes for 101 yards against Utah State and was selected as coaches' receiver of the game...had three catches for 44 yards at Hawai'i.

Junior Year 1991

Missed Air Force and Utah games because of hamstring problems...had a 15-yard rush for a touchdown against Wyoming and also scored on a 15-yard pass...had a 65-yard reception at San Diego State...named a receiver of the game by the coaches against Florida State, UCLA and Wyoming.
