Born 8/03/72 in Kenai, Alaska...parents are Mark Hall and Judy Crockett...recruited by Oklahoma, Oregon, Utah and Washington State...majoring in geography.
Before BYU
All-state academic in 1988 and 1989 with a 3.76 and 4.0 GPA respectively...selected for Salt Lake Tribune/Deseret News All-State team 1989...won a medal in the 1989-90 Utah Winter Games in hockey...coached by Rick Bojack.
Switched from defensive line to outside linebacker...had two unassisted tackles at Penn State.
Played back-up at outside linebacker to Kevin Nicoll...coaches' special teams player of the game vs. Utah State and Utah...blocked a punt and recovered the ball in the end zone for a TD against Utah.
Was honorable mention All-WAC...started 10 games...selected by the coaching staff as special teams player of the game against Utah State and as defensive lineman against Hawai'i, CSU, UCLA and Notre Dame...blocked a field goal at Colorado State where he also had six tackles, a pass deflection and a sack to lead the team...led team against Notre Dame when he had eight tackles and one sack...caused and recovered a fumble at San Diego State...injured his elbow in the Utah game.
