Four-year letterman in both tennis and football at Dixie High in St. George...twice named all-league in both sports and all-state in football...team captain, quarterback and defensive back...13-17 in FGs with long of 52 his senior year...averaged 44 yards in punting (64 long)...coached by Ray Odette.
Other College
Averaged 36.5 yards per punt (long of 57) at Dixie College...was 32 of 43 in PATs and 7-15 (46 long) in FGs...named All-Western States Football League as a punter (39.0 average, long of 64)...26-30 PATs and 9-16 in FGs long of 45.
Was backup punter/kicker.
Recorded a 49-yard punt and a 49-yard field goal in the spring game.
