Freshman Year 1991

Was second-unit tight end behind All-WAC junior Byron Rex, although Itula started against UCLA, Penn State and Air Force...had a four-yard TD catch from Ty Detmer against New Mexico...his 48-yard reception was against UCLA...had four catches for 41 yards against Utah State, including a 21-yarder.

Sophmore Year 1994

Started two games for an injured Chad Lewis...caught five passes for 108 yards and two TDs at Fresno State, including a season-long 68-yard catch...had four catches for 101 yards against Utah State, including a shoestring reception for a TD...did not have a reception in two games...scored a seven-yard TD at Hawai'i...caught a two-point conversion pass against Arizona State and had four catches for 44 yards...caught five passes for 74 yards at Utah.

Junior Year 1995

Set up as an H-back in the backfield and fushed for 26 yards on 11 carries...scored a TD vs. AFA (6 catches) and UCLA (34-YARDER)...seven catches vs. SDSU for 65 yards...ABC Chevrolet MVP vs. AFA...did not suit up for four games (CSU to Hawai'i)...five catches for 71 yards vs. Tulsa...21-yard TD vs. New Mexico...three catches for 72 yards vs. utah...had six catches for 52 yards at Fresno State.

Senior Year 1996

First Team All-American by the American Football Coaches Association...selected to play in the Hula Bowl and Senior Bowl, but was not able to participate because of knee surgery...selected All-WAC First Team (coaches), All-WAC, Football News, and Second Team All-WAC, Houston Chronicle (coordinators)...co-winner of the offensive MVP award the the BYU coaches...scored a TD vs. Texas A&M...sick with tonsillitis week of the Arkansas State game...had nine catches for 108-yards and one TD vs. Washington...coaches' receiver and ABC Chevrolet Player of the Game vs. Washington...57-yard catch vs. New Mexico...six catches for 88-yards vs. SMU...led 10BYU receivers with five catches for 77-yards at Utah State...25-yard TD catch at Tulsa...three catches for 77-yards, including a 45-yarder at TCU...25-yard third down conversion vs. Rice and was chosen coaches' receiver of the game...had another third down conversion at Hawai'i...string of 29 consecutive games catching a pass was broken vs. Utah...for nine consecutive weeks, led the nation's tight ends in both receptions and receiving yards...his 46 receptions tied for first nationally among tight ends, 692 yards ranked second and three touchdown receptions tied for sixth...career was cut short in the WAC Championship vs. Wyoming when he suffered ACL and MCL damage in his knee and had surgery on Dec. 13th.
