Born 4/3/74 in Longmont, Colorado...parents are Bill and Karen...father played football for Stanford and then for the NFL's Denver Broncos...served an LDS Church mission to Vancouver, British Columbia...married Tiani Hatch, a former BYU women's basketball player, in June,1995...they have a son Shialer...prepped at Longmont High and was Colorado High School Athlete of the Year in 1991...majored in finance.
Got his first playing time against Hawai'i with a 15-yard run and a 23-yard pass...got in for one play at New Mexico.
Threw a TD pass to Ben Cahoon in the spring game...completed 25 of 43 for 235 yard passing in that game...threw TD passes in the UNLV and Rice games...ran for a TD against Arkansas State.
Completed seven of 13 passes for 103 yards and a TD in the spring game...started vs. Washington and scored a TD on the Cougars' opening drive...started vs. Hawai'i...suffered a grade one tear in a knee and sprained an ankle, both on the right leg, in the first half vs. TCU...traveled, but did not play at UTEP...had a 65-yard pass completion vs. Utah State.
Gave up final year of eligibility to graduate and sign with the Utah Catzz of the PIFL.
