  • Named to All-League First Team as a junior as both a running back and defensive end
  • Named the league defensive MVP as a junior 
  • As a sophomore, named to the All-Conference First Team at defensive end and second team at running back. He had six offensive touchdowns
  • He was also selected as the league defensive MVP, won a state title in wrestling and placed seventh in the state in shotput as a sophomore
  • Rated a 3-star by 247Sports.
  • He was his high school’s ASB president and on the honor roll
  • Also recruited and offered scholarships by Cal, Eastern Washington, Harvard, Northwestern, Oregon, Oregon State, Purdue, Stanford, UCLA, USC, Washington State and Wisconsin
