Before BYU
- Recorded two carries for 14 yards and a touchdown, four receptions for 95 yards (23.8 average) and had four two-point conversions as a senior for Orem High School
- Defensively, amassed 96 tackles, including 50 solo, six TFL, 1.5 sacks, one forced fumble and eight interceptions, with three returned for touchdowns
- Returned four kickoffs for 170 yards (42.5 average) and two touchdowns and one punt return for a 58-yard touchdown
- Led the state (4A) in interceptions and helped the Tigers to back-to-back state titles
- Played basketball at Orem as well
