  • Recorded a then career-high 10 tackles (four solo, six assist) and third career interception in 27-17 win over No. 19 Arizona State. 
  • Interception versus the Sun Devils halted a drive deep into BYU territory and set up a Cougar touchdown moments later. 
  • Tied a career-high in single-game tackles-for-loss with 1.5 for -11 yards in 34-20 win at Utah State. 
Junior Year 2022

  • Played in seven games, starting six
  • Despite season-ending injury, finished as BYU's fourth-leading tackler on the season and tied for the lead in interceptions with 57 stops (33 solo), two tackles-for-loss, a sack, quarterback hurry, forced fumble, pass breakup and three interceptions with 67 return yards including two for touchdowns

  • Recorded first-career forced fumble in 52-35 loss vs. Arkansas.
  • (Oct. 10) - tied with Vanderbilt's De'Rickey Wright and Tristan Driggers of ULM for national lead in interceptions among linebackers.
  • Recorded third interception of the season and tied a career-high with 13 tackles in 28-20 loss to Notre Dame.
  • Registered second-career pick-six in 38-26 win over Utah State and is tied for the national lead with two interceptions returned for touchdowns on the season.
    • Tied with Cameron Oliver of UNLV and Eric Scott of Southern Miss
  • Tied a career-high with 13 tackles in BYU's 26-20 (2OT) win over No. 9 Baylor on Sept. 10, 2022. The Baylor game marked Tooley's third-career double-digit tackle outing.
  • Returned interception 35 yards for a touchdown to go along with five tackles (four solo) in BYU's 50-21 win at USF on Sept. 3.
