  • Prepped at Somerset High School
  • As a sophomore, he threw for 2002 yards and 31 touchdowns and was named the SA-Express News Sub-5A Newcomer of the Year and the 28-3A Offensive MVP
  • Threw for 2500 yards and 30 touchdowns as a junior and was named to the All-District 28-3A second team
  • In his senior year, he finished with 2,375 yards passing and 22 touchdowns and was an Academic All-State honorable mention
  • Was an All-District first team athlete in baseball, basketball, football and soccer. He also competed in the high jump and long jump for the track team
